OGUNLANA GRACES 1ST OLUWASEYI OJO MEMORIAL LECTURE IN ADO-EKITI, RE-ECHOES RADICAL AGENDA

Mr . Ogunlana Adesina Ademola, the Chairman of the Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigerian Bar Association and presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2020 national elections graced the First Memorial Lecture held on 9th December, 2020  in honour of Oluseyi Gabrielle Ojo , the Ekiti State Chairperson of FIDA (Federacion Internationales Des Abrogadas) who passed on the 25th December, 2019.

In a statement issued by Ayo Ademiluyi, the Secretary of Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigerian Bar Association (RAMINBA) and Director of Media,  Strategy, Publicity and Communications of ProgressiveBar2020, Mr. Ogunlana while condoling with FIDA Ekiti State, Nigerian Bar Association, Ado-Ekiti and the family, used the opportunity to re-echo his RadicalAgenda to the Nigerian Bar Association by commenting from the high table after the delivery of the two lectures  thus:


" The Chairman of this occasion,  the chairman of the NBA ADO EKITI branch, our leaders and seniors , I greet you all.  I thank the two speakers today. But I  want  to comment on the second paper. I am very happy that I made this journey here today, all the way from Lagos. Before her death, I didn't know much about Seyi Ojo  but I 'm happy that I  as an activist  came down for the programme of an activist. I resonate with all what what I heard about Seyi Ojo from the second presenter today. I stand and represent the  RADICAL AGENDA MOVEMENT IN THE NBA.  We all need such almost lunatic commitment to causes if this country is to be saved .

We all here mostly are lawyers but we need to to realise that we need urgent and committed reactions to save our country.  At the SPIDEL Conference, I said people talking about public interest litigation are assuming two  things, one, that the courts are working and two, that the orders of courts are obeyed.  But that is not  too  true of our reality.....Nigeria is a semi jungle and we need to be as passionate and committed like Seyi to redeem her . Ha, gentlemen, somebody handled 133 cases in six  months. Please clap for Seyi !
And I disagree with those who think that Seyi is not here present with us.  She is. Those who say otherwise  are not conversant with African Cosmogony . Thank you for your kind attention."

It would be recalled that Mr. Ogunlana had earlier paid a condolence visit to FIDA Ekiti State, a day after the demise of Seyi Ojo . His presence at the Memorial Lecture held by FIDA Ekiti State in honour of the departed was well received by FIDA Ekiti State.
