OGUNLANA CONFIRMS NBA PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRATION DESPITE EGBE AMOFIN YORUBA'S ADOPTION OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Ogunlana Adesina Ademola, the Chairman of the Radical Agenda Movement  in the Nigerian Bar Association and presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2020 national elections of the Nigerian Bar Association has confirmed his presidential aspiration in spite of the adoption of Mr. Dele Adesina SAN by the Egbe Amofin Yoruba as flag bearer of the ethnic irrendentist group.
Adesina Ogunlana

This was made known in a press statement issued by Ayo Ademiluyi, Secretary of Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigerian Bar Association (RAMINBA) and Director of Media, Strategy,  Publicity
and Communications of ProgressiveBar2020.

Mr. Ogunlana took to his popular Facebook wall, where he commented thus:

"I understand that yesterday, Saturday , the 14th December 2019, a group of legal practitioners in  South West Nigeria known as the EGBE AMOFIN, held  a meeting  at Ibadan, where the group adopted one of those of us aspiring to lead  the NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION in 2020 as Presidential flagbearer.

May I congratulate the Egbe Amofin. May I also congratulate their choice, gentle man Dele Adesina, SAN who obviously mirrors their political perspectives, tendencies and  inclinations. Fortunately , Democracy professes and thrives on  electoral  choices and preferences in a free and fair, level playing ground.

Thus as the Egbe Amofin is entitled to propose and project a CHOICE, other bodies are so equally entitled.

May I then use the opportunity to reiterate the fact that my humble self , OGUNLANA ADESINA ADEMOLA , immediate past chairman, NBA IKEJA BRANCH and Publisher of the SQUIB MAGAZINE  is still very much in the race for the NBA  Presidency.

My aspiration is on the activist platform of the RADICAL AGENDA MOVEMENT  IN THE NBA (RAMINBA)
Our position  and  proposition in this quest is anchored on the identification of our great Association as a most important factor in the crucial, critical  labour  of saving Nigeria from socio-political and economic ruin and effectively press the NBA to this great service, in the infallible  view that 'NO NIGERIA, NO NBA.

Except the NBA  urgently and courageously rises to her historic and patriotic  salvationist duty  of  intervening in the affairs of Nigeria , our country, our profession, already imperilled , shall be lost !

I respectfully call on all candidates and our respective support platforms   to prosecute our  aspirations with all sense of responsibility, fairness and decency. Monopoly of any sort is not Democracy'

As the Igbo proverb goes....'Let the Eagle fly, let the Hawk fly, the one which says the other should not  explore the skies, let its wings break.'
