"WHO CAN INSURE NIGERIA?": OGUNLANA TASKS LAWYERS ON SOCIAL SALVATION AT NBA OTA BRANCH'S JANUARY 2020 MEETING, REITERATES RADICAL AGENDA, CONDEMNS ABDUCTION OF ZAINAB KISHIMI ESQ BY KIDNAPPERS

Ogunlana Adesina Ademola,  Chairman of the Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigerian Bar Association and Presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2020 national elections  graced the January 2020 Branch  Meeting .

This was made known in a press statement issued by Ayo Ademiluyi, the Secretary of Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigerian Bar Association (RAMINBA).

The meeting which featured a Special Interactive Session on "Insurance for Lawyers" with Lead way  Assure brought again to the front burner the safety of lawyers in the exercise of their professional duties.

Mr. Ogunlana, who was recognised by the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association , Ota Branch for the role he played in the Bad Roads Protest organised by the Branch against the terrible state of roads in the Branch.

In his speech, Mr. Ogunlana raised the pertinent question, "If Nigeria is an individual, who can insure Nigeria?", he tasked lawyers to play their role by becoming active agents in the social salvation mission of Nigeria , which is the only way lawyers can ensure their individual safety.

Ogunlana reiterated his #RadicalAgenda to the Nigerian Bar Association to lead the Association to play its historic role as a vanguard of the social rescue mission in Nigeria.

In a related development, Mr. Ogunlana has condemned the abduction of the  Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Bar Association, Jalingo Branch, Zainab Kishimi by kidnappers.

According to media reports, the incident took place at her residence at about 2:00am on Friday the 31st day of January, 2020.

Zainab Kishimi is a Principal State counsel with the Taraba State Ministry of Justice and a committed member of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Taraba State.

Mr. Ogunlana called on both the leadership of her Branch, Jalingo Branch and the national leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association to mount pressure on all respective authorities to secure the release of the counsel.
